Starting your own craft business need not be expensive or overwhelming.  Learn how to turn your ideas into a product, and how to take that product to the market.  Find out about markets in Melbourne, learn how to set yourself up to sell your wares and network with other crafters. Learn about how to display your goods, pricing, product developments and networking.

Participants will be given the opportunity to have a stall at the Made n Thornbury Community Market.



Knitting & Crocheting

Days and Times:

Term Dates:

This program is run every second Thursday in 2010.

 

Cost:

Free

Use your knitting skills, or learn how to knit and make baby blankets for World Vision. This group meets every 2nd Thursday.

Learn how to use a sewing machine and create simple skirt from an existing pattern (pattern provided) Young women welcome.

Term 1 you will make a wrap around summer dress.

Term 2 you will make a warm skirt for the cooler weather.

Term 2: $80 or concession $71.

Beginners to advanced level. Students work on their own projects or join in class challenges. Students supply their own materials and some equipment.

Participants can choose to work with either or both mediums. Create decorative pieces for your garden or house - such as birdbaths, bowls, mirrors, etc. Extra charges for new clay, tiles and firing.

There is a choice between attending either Monday or Wednesday's class.
