NILS No Interest Loan Schemes to women on low incomes

 

We need volunteers to help Thornbury Womens Neighbourhood House to provide No Interest Loans to Womens on Low incomes.

Loans are for the purchase of :essential goods and services

white goods, electrical goods, bedding,health and medicare costs.

Street Parties are a great way to get to know your neighbours, use the Street Party Guide to help plan, run & evaluate your street party.  Portable light BBQ available for hire.

Enrolments and Fees

 

Enrolment / bookings are essential for all classes and events.  Activities may be cancelled if we do not get enough enrolments.  Enrol in person at the House, phone or email we will send you an enrolment form.  Some accredited courses require an interview prior to enrolment.

 

Many of our vocational courses are subsidised for eligible applicants by the Victorian Government under its ACFE Program.  Please enquire.

 

A minimum 25% deposit is required on enrolment for vocational courses and

$10 for other courses.

 

We are a registered provider of Returning to Earning.

 

 

Tuition fees for each course hour for ACFE funded courses to eligible applicants:

 

Concession rate:  For holders of Health Care, Pension and Veteran’s Gold cards: $50.00 (Foundations skills) $105 (Skills Creation/Level 1 & 11)

 $120 Skills Building/Level III & IV)

 

Basic rate:  For students who are in at least one of the ACFE priority groups but are not eligible for concession: $1.08 (Foundation skills) $1.40 (Skills Creation) and $1.62 (Skills Building)

 

Fee for service:  For students who are not in any of the ACFE priority groups, or learners who are supported through other government funded sources.

 

Refunds:  If a student notifies us in writing that they are withdrawing from a government funded training course any time up to 4 weeks after the commencement, we will keep the minimum tuition fee but will refund all other fees.  If the course is cancelled by us we will refund all fees to the student.
